I heard about a concept cafe called Yuugen Shuka. Doesn’t it sound super interesting?
I’ve heard about it too! It’s a Chinese-style concept cafe with a Jiangshi theme, right? I’ve been curious about it, but I haven’t had the chance to visit yet.
Me too. I’ve been to other concept cafes a few times, but Jiangshi is such a rare theme. I wonder what it’s like? They say there are talismans all over the place.
They say the interior is very Chinese-inspired with a slightly mysterious atmosphere. The neon lighting is supposed to be really photogenic! Shall we check it out together next weekend?
A Unique Place Connecting This World and the Afterlife
Yuugen Shuka, a newly opened establishment in Ikebukuro, offers a unique space that bridges this world and the afterlife. This extraordinary venue is frequented by residents of the dark realm and Taoist practitioners. Once you step inside, you’ll be greeted by a stunning Chinese-style interior adorned with countless talismans. The vibrant neon lighting creates an enchanting and mysterious atmosphere. It’s a place where you can leave behind the mundane and immerse yourself in another dimension.
The staff at Yuugen Shuka are all Jiangshi-themed girls. Unlike traditional Jiangshi, these girls blend cuteness with a hint of sexiness. Dressed in adorable yet slightly mysterious cheongsams, they welcome guests with bright smiles and cheerful energy. Some of the staff are new to serving, and their earnest efforts are sure to charm you.
A Stunning Chinese-Inspired Interior
One of Yuugen Shuka’s attractions is its commitment to creating an immersive world. The venue is decorated with elements reminiscent of ancient China, including bell tower-inspired designs and intricately carved wooden furniture. The walls are lined with talismans, evoking a sense of being surrounded by spells. The unique lighting gently illuminates the space, enhancing the vivid colors and creating an otherworldly ambiance. The scene is unlike anything else, offering a truly mesmerizing experience.
The menu at Yuugen Shuka is another highlight. Featuring dishes inspired by Chinese cuisine, each item is uniquely crafted to match the venue’s theme. From fiery red soups to mist-shrouded cocktails, the dishes are as visually impressive as they are delicious. Each visit promises new discoveries, making it a delightful adventure for your palate.
Experience a New Dimension in Ikebukuro
Engaging with the Jiangshi staff provides a unique opportunity to unburden your heart and enjoy an extraordinary moment. Of course, it’s also the perfect place for those who prefer to quietly savor their meals.

The unique atmosphere was amazing. All those talismans were a bit creepy at first, but the neon lights made them look really beautiful.
I was a bit nervous at first when we walked in, but the Jiangshi girls were so cute and friendly that I felt relaxed right away.
