Today, I’ll introduce you to “Amaryllis,” a maid café & bar located in Akihabara. While Akihabara is known as a holy land for anime and games, there is another special place in this town where you can experience something extraordinary. That place is “Amaryllis,” a heartwarming convent (themed café) operated by sisters.
The Charms of Amaryllis
Amaryllis quietly emerged onto the streets of Akihabara in 2014. This establishment, a maid café & bar themed around nuns (sisters), continues to be loved by many.
The sisters offer prayers daily to heal the weary hearts of their masters and mistresses. Just a 6-minute walk from Akihabara Station and 3 minutes from Suehirocho Station, it’s easily accessible, adding to its charm. As you approach the store amidst the hustle and bustle of Akihabara, an indescribable sense of anticipation builds up. Located on the upper floors of a building that also houses Gyudon Sanbo, the entrance is marked by an eye-catching sign.
Diverse Personalities of the Sisters
This shop, which is themed around Akihabara’s first sisters, welcomes you with sisters of various types, from traditional and demure to quirky and explosive personalities.
Despite being sisters, they oddly serve customers in sexy Chinese-style costumes. The interior of the shop is decorated with religious-themed paintings and decor, narrating that this is no ordinary café.
Menu and Prices
Amaryllis offers a wide range of drink options from soft drinks to alcohol. The cover charge starts from ¥800 per hour, with an option for all-you-can-drink. The food menu focuses on appetizers, perfect for enjoying with drinks. Particularly, a toast with the sisters is a must.

Enter from the back of the black building “Versailles Akihabara” and walk straight for about 100 meters to reach the building where the famous Gyudon restaurant “Gyudon Sanbo” is located. Inside the shop, three large chandeliers shine brightly, and the white-themed counters add to the brightness. There’s also a separate room with a gothic interior, allowing you to experience the atmosphere of medieval Western Europe.
A Special Night at Amaryllis
Amaryllis is an indispensable spot for those who want to experience something extraordinary in Akihabara. The interaction with the unique sisters, the rich drink menu, and the atmosphere filled with medieval Western Europe vibes provide healing and enjoyment to visitors.
