Tukuyomi Maid Cafe Akihabara opened on December 10, 2023, as the first Japanese branch of the popular Taiwanese maid cafe “Tukuyomi Maid Cafe”. This cafe, which originated in Kaohsiung, Taiwan in 2005, is known as the oldest maid cafe in Taiwan and currently has 7 locations throughout Taiwan.

Located on the 7th floor of the Kyoeki Sotokanda Building, near Don Quijote along the main street of Akihabara, it’s easily accessible. Tukuyomi, with its track record and reputation for leading Taiwan’s maid cafe culture, has now been reverse-imported to its original home in Japan.

European Manor-style Interior and Diverse Seating Options

The interior resembles a luxurious European manor, with detailed decorations throughout. Seating options include counter seats, table seats, and sofa seats, allowing both individuals and groups to relax comfortably.

The black maid uniform features a white lace headband, a red ribbon and silver buttons on the chest, a white apron, and large cuffs, with attention to detail throughout. The footwear consists of white or black over-knee socks, consciously creating the “absolute territory” effect. These costumes, combining cuteness and modesty, are popular not only among maid cafe fans but also among female customers who like cute things.

The pricing system is clear: a minimum spend of 1,500 yen for a 90-minute stay. There are no cover or entrance fees, and you can freely choose food and drinks. There are also value sets like the First-Timer Set (2,970 yen) and Special Set, making it easy for newcomers to enjoy.

Additional optional services such as commemorative photos and stage performances by maids are also available. All seats are non-smoking, and various payment methods including credit cards and electronic money are accepted, which is another pleasant point.
